Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · Preston Invitational A Success

Luke Summers battled an injury during warm-ups for the 3200…and struggled the first 600 meters of the race…but his body responded and was able to pickup the pace and win with a 10:07.  He came back later in the meet and took second place in the 1600 with an impressive early season time of 4:34. Bridger Beus had a similar performance with a 2nd place in the 100 meters but came back at the end of the meet with a 1st place performance in the 200 meters. Easton Payne threw 44 feet to place 2nd in the shot put. Griffin Ravsten threw 118 feet to place 3rd in the discus.  Ethan Hurst ran 2:06 to take 3rd in the 800 meters. Lindsay Schow ran 12:35 to take 3rd in the 3200 and met her goal to run 5:50 in the 1600. Kourtney Curtis and Bailey Christensen had great early season times in the 300h with marks of 50.86 and 51.63…placing 3rd and 4th respectively. Kaysie Winward, Bailey Christensen, Kourtney Curtis and Emily Hamson ran a great race to end the meet and win the girls 4×400.  Each girl had an amazing effort.The Bears will get a full look at the region as they attend the Pre-Region meet at Logan High this Wednesday, March 23rd.  Meet start time is planned at 2pm.
