Despite allowing three runs in the third inning, The Bears Green Canyon 15-3 on Friday. The offensive firepower by Green Canyon was led by Downs and Hill, all driving in runs in the frame.

Bear River opened up scoring in the first inning. Braxton Jeppsen walked, Jake Dahle singled moving Jeppsen to 3rd, Kaygen Canfield grounded out, scoring one run. Then back to back singles by Tyke Nessen and Makayden Kent scored 2 more runs. Parker Coombs walked and Brady Brown doubled to left. 2 pitches later Kelton Summers belted a 2 run Homerun to right field putting The Bears up 7 in the top of the first.

Hadley Davis earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Bear River. He allowed six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out six.

Watson took the loss for Green Canyon. He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing five hits and seven runs.

Bear River tallied 13 hits in the game. Braxton Jeppsen, Jake Dahle, Tyke Nessen, and Kelton Summers all collected multiple hits for The Bears. Summers, Nessen, Dahle, and Jeppsen each collected two hits to lead the way.

The Bears are off for the weekend and return to play on Tuesday April 3rd when they host Mountain Crest at Bear Field.
