The Bears defeated visiting Mountain Crest in a rematch of an earlier loss at the hands of the Mustangs in Hyrum. Mt. Crest got off to a hot start knocking down their first several shots and jumped out to an early 7-0 lead. After a Bear timeout things began to shift in the right direction for Bear River. The first quarter ended with Mt. Crest holding a slim three point advantage but that was the last time Mt. Crest had the lead. Bear River turned up the defensive pressure resulting in several Mustang turnovers that led to points for the Bears. Bear River ran past the visitors in the second quarter outscoring them by 13 points and led by 10 at the half. Things were no different in the second half as the Bear defense was just too much for Mt. Crest as they scored just 19 points in the second half. Bear River was led by Wyatt Roholt with 22 points followed by Ren Fonnesbeck with 19 and Mark Huber with 17. Wyatt made 4 of 5 three-pointers and Ren made 5 of 7 to put on an outstanding shooting display. Mark chipped in 3 three-pointers of his own. Parker Coombs contributed 8 assists, 4 steals and 4 rebounds.
