Bear River traveled to 6A Northridge High School Friday and lost their first game of the season. Bear River gave the Knights all they could handle and had several opportunities to win the game but ultimately fell in the final minute of the game 63-59. Bear River held a 10 point lead early in the second half but couldn’t quite manage to hold on in the end. Wyatt Roholt led the Bear in scoring with 19 points despite playing just three quarters as he left the game with an injury. He was closely followed by Mark Huber’s 18 and Parker Coombs with 14. Ren Fonnesbeck added an additional 8 points. Kelton Summers played a valuable role picking up 9 rebounds against a very physical Northridge team and added two drawn charges to help counter their attacking style of play.
